Michael Hansen has been appointed to the FIMA Management Board as a co-partner. He is 57 years old and a Danish citizen. He moved to Schwäbisch Hall a short time ago for the Managing Director position at FIMA. With more than 30 years of experience in industrial engineering companies in Europe, Asia and North America, he looks back on a very successful career in various management positions. Among others, he worked for well-known companies such as Alstom, ABB, Howden Group and Siemens.

In addition, Rainer Dietz has been appointed as Managing Director. He will take charge of operations and, with the aim of future-proofing the company, will set up the new Operational Excellence department, among other things. Rainer Dietz is 37 years old and comes from the Hohenlohe district. Turbomachinery has accompanied him his entire career. More than ten years ago, he moved from a fan manufacturer in Künzelsau to FIMA. Since then, he has passed through many different departments and successfully held managerial positions.

In the coming years, the focus will be on the further development of FIMA, both within Europe and overseas, including the expansion of its international presence. In addition, FIMA will be further strengthened in Obersontheim and abroad so that it can meet new technological challenges, not least in developing solutions for the green technology market.

With the introduction of the two new managing directors, Dr. Serdar Ertong is simultaneously retiring after more than five years at the top of the company. He is currently taking care of a structured handover and will be available to FIMA in an advisory capacity from June 2022 until the end of the year. During his time as Managing Director, he has done a lot for the company. The entire FIMA team is very grateful to him for this and wishes him above all good health for his new phase of life in the future.
