proAlpha Update

Not only our FIMApro colleagues at the location in Turkey had a motivated start into the new year, so too did the proAlpha project team at the FIMA headquarters. It was high time to update the existing ERP system to proAlpha version 7.2. Because several versions had been skipped, the transition was extensive. A project team consisting of colleagues from IT, controlling, sales, work planning, design, accounting, purchasing, materials management and service department was put together in the middle of last year. With the help of an external service provider, they took care of the changeover and implementation of the new version. Several project meetings, system adjustments and tests later, the time had finally come – the migration could take place shortly after Christmas. Over New Years and in the first week of January, the project team was busy with functional tests before normal operation began after the official company holidays, in the second week of January. The new software version offers a variety of innovations. For example, existing business processes can now be digitally mapped in ways not before possible. FIMA is on the right track towards the future in terms of ongoing digitization.
